| Each
year, it is estimated that 40,000 people die from influenza (the “flu”)
alone. In an effort to decrease this statistic, Marcrom's Pharmacy
offers an immunization program for our patients. Pharmacists are in
a unique position in that we are the most accesible health care professional
and many of our pharmacists have the expertise and training to administer
immunizations. By increasing the awareness of vaccines’ benefits
and by improving their availability, the specially trained and certified
pharmacists at Marcrom's are making a difference in patients’
lives.
Most immunizations (with the exception of influenza) require a physician’s
order, and many are covered services under medical health insurance.
