Preferred Customer Discount Program Details
How long does a membership last?
Your membership is good for one year. It will expire the last day of the month in which you purchased the following year. For example, if you purchase the membership on September 10th, 2011 your membership will be in effect until September 30th, 2012.
How does Marcrom’s Pharmacy and Wellness Center know I am in the club?
We flag your account in our pharmacy and point of sale systems to track your purchases. If you purchase only RETAIL, non-prescription items you will need to tell the customer care representative you are a member of the discount club so we can add the points to your account. If you want to tell us every time you come in you are member, please do!
Is it effective immediately?
YES! You can use the prescription savings immediately. Please give us one week to update our systems for the rebate program. If you sign up online and are not in the system yet, just tell the staff you signed up online. They will check with the program manager.
How does it work for my family?
We attach all family members together as one member if they sign up for the family plan. Each family member will get full prescription discounts. All family members will build rebate dollars as well. A family is defined as a spouse and dependent children.
How much can I earn in rebates?
The amount you can earn in rebates is unlimited! You will receive $5 gift certificates to be used for retail purchases. Gift certificates cannot be combined. In general you will earn about 10% of retail purchases and extra rebates for the number of prescriptions you have filled at Marcrom’s Pharmacy. You earn on EVERY purchase!! The only items you are unable to purchase using the gift certificates are your prescriptions.
How much can I save?
The amount you can save is unlimited as well!! There is no cap or usage limits.
Which medications are on your list?
Please see the current list below. Due to various market conditions we do sometimes add or remove a medication.
I only have a 30 or 60 day supply remaining on my prescription, what should I do?
We do have special pricing for these situations as well. The program is based upon 90 day supplies if the prescription is a maintenance type medication. If you have 90 days available our program is setup to process for 90 day (3-month) supplies. We ask that you please follow the program and do not request lesser amounts than 90 day supplies. The special pricing is based on the medication and dosing amount. If you take multiple doses per day you will be eligible for special pricing, but not always the $12 price.
Does this program replace my insurance?
No. The program is meant to offer you competitive prices without having to use your insurance. This can be particularly helpful to those on a Medicare part D plan in avoiding the “doughnut hole”. It is NOT insurance nor is it meant to replace insurance. You will need to choose separately for each prescription whether you wish to use insurance or the discount program. Insurance contracts do not allow us to use both.
What if my medication is not on the list?
Please be assured that being a part of the discount club will achieve for you the lowest prices we offer on all of your medications, including generics and brands with a few exceptions.
Are controlled substances covered?
No. Controlled substances and other select addictive medications may not be covered on the program. It is up to the discretion of Marcrom’s Pharmacy and Wellness Center as to which medications will be covered. With any medication that is controlled or addictive there is a greater workload and liability therefore is unable to be discounted. As always, we feel our regular prices are very competitive across the board.
When can I use my coupons I received for joining?
Anytime! You can even give them away! Our clerks will write the name of the club member on the back of the coupon upon redemption. If you do give yours away, please write your name on the back!
What types of coupons will I receive? When will I receive them?
You will receive a “special” set of coupons with your first paid membership via mail approximately 7-10 business days from joining. You will then receive periodic “member only” coupons through the mail or email. You will receive these when you receive your member rebates.
What is the difference between a retail purchase and a prescription purchase?
Retail purchases include anything purchased without a doctor’s prescription. Prescription purchases are those items that are purchased using any form of a prescription.
